Probably our best result of the season today after a strong 2 half. Boro played well and have much of last seasons team. Sweet late victory after all our probing looked in vain. Marks:

SJ. 8. Probably his best game for us after Swansea. These weren’t routine saves at all - huge moment in game denying BA. Decent kicking and distribution

Furlong 6.5 weak link first half when several mistakes put us under. Improved second and linked well late on with Edwards

Ferguson. 7 under par early on as Boro put him on his wrong foot. Excellent 2 half with a number of good runs. Ridiculous booking from the homer ref

Ajayi 7.5. Some uncomfortable  moments against BA but v good as game wore on. Glorious crossfield
Pass to Diangana

Bartley 7.5. Very decent game - no big mistakes and countless interceptions.  One small error when he misjudged a through ball

Livermore 7. Ineffective first half and lucky to avoid booking. Got around park 2 half - and unlucky not to score. Good tactical foul on BA

Sawyers. 8. Didn’t affect the game enough early on but a performance full of energy, craft and clever passing.  Brilliant spreader of the ball

Krov 6 plenty of effort and energy but muscled out. Not enough goal threat or killer passes to be no 10.  We improved after he got hooked

Pereira 8. Absolute talent - oozes class with his slide rule passes. Numerous 1 2s with Diangana - needs to get shots off more/ with better quality

Diangana 8.5. Mom today. Our best threat first half he was excellent all game. Constant outlet and hobbled last 20 after turning ankle. Still had the class to make goal

CA. 6.5. Limited service but he linked it well today. Worked hard and defensive shift too. Just wish he still had that half yard of pace

HRK 7. Put himself about and played good back to goal role. Scuffed a good chance but credit him for being there to secure a huge winner. Linked well with wingers

Edwards 7. Thought he balanced us and his pace was a great release. Should of buried the chance.

Punch up at Dudley Town Hall last night
Posted by: Jezstatham - Yesterday, 05:04 PM - Forum: WBAUnofficial - Replies (16)

I went to see Jimeoin last night. He's one of my favourite comedians. Halfway through the second half of his set the doormen and two blokes in front of me had an excellent punch up. It was hilarious chairs flying all over the place and took about 2 minutes for them to get them out. This was on top of the mad woman in the row behind me who didn't stop laughing the whole time and drove everybody mad to the point of distraction. Jimeoin just stood there open mouthed with his guitar. Apparently they were making a lot of noise although I never heard them once. Someone else said they were filming. It made the night anyway!!

  ‘They’ll go up’
Posted by: Dumbo - Yesterday, 04:34 PM - Forum: WBAUnofficial - No Replies

Jonathan Woodgate gave some real credit to Albion, despite saying his team played well today.

‘They’ll go up. They’ve got some fantastic players.’ He said.

Hailed the way Albion dominated possession.

Fair play to him ?? #wba #baggies #boro

  Haringey Borough v Yeovil

Sounds like the match was abandoned for racial abuse made towards the Haringey keeper along with bottles being thrown, resulting in the players walking off.

Robson Kanu’s 10 goals for us...
Posted by: SW4Baggie - Yesterday, 04:11 PM - Forum: WBAUnofficial - Replies (13)

Name them:

1. Boro A 1-0 winner
2. Leeds H opener 4-1
3. Villa A 2-0 - late clincher
4. Burnley A 1-0 Winner
5. Saints A 2-1 Winner
6. Arsenal H - put us back ahead for 2-1
7. Man City A - 1-3 - late consolation
8. Norwich A 4-3 - got number 4 to make it 4-2
9. QPR H 7-1 - the final 7
10. Newcastle 2-2 - got the opener

He’s scored 4 goals that have turned out to be winners, and we’ve only lost 1 of the 10 he’s scored in.

Certainly has his uses.
