Just noticed the sky schedule for live games in November.
We haven’t been picked once> Angry unless I’ve misread it.

Clash of the Titans, tonight at 8pm

Seals v Dirty Leeds, just been told by a mate at BT, that this clash has allready outsold the reported 74 subscribers that paid for the Albion v Burnley game, and that BT are expecting this to be a PPV record for a football match, with subscriber numbers probably reaching into the millions.

I have also had this confirmed by a bloke on twitter, who has 24 followers, so it's probably true.   Rolleyes

  France 9pm curfew & pubs/gyms shuts for 6 weeks
Posted by: ChamonixBaggie - Yesterday, 03:52 PM - Forum: Politics - Replies (1)

Don't they flipping care about my deadlift max??!!

Pissing with rain and this is the last night we can go to the pub, or indeed be out of our house after 9pm for 6 weeks. I might have to invest in a SAD lamp.

Kids, of course, can still go to school, after-school clubs and use all the sports facilities because as we all know the massive spike since September was nothing to do with them...

No, not the classic suite by Gustav Holst. I'm talking about those big things in the sky.

During the initial lockdown and then 8 weeks of furlough, I spotted Mercury and Saturn for the first time ever. It makes all the difference when you can stay up late or get up early.

During the rest of this year, Jupiter and Saturn will be very close together (not really, just from our viewpoint), culminating in an almost complete conjunction in December. Meanwhile, Mars has recently been pretty much as close to us and as clear as it ever gets.

So what I want to know is why there hasn't been a single clear evening here in South Cheshire for over six weeks. Even when it's clear and sunny all day, it clouds over at night. Haven't seen a thing. Telescope gathering dust and taking up space in the garage.
