The press today are reporting that "Captain Jack" is wanted by Palace to replace Zaha.

Not quite the Barcelona that the Seals predicted, and about his level. I'm disappointed with Roy. I thought he knew better - or is he trying to turn Greasy's head for us?  Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

  FFP Points deductions
Posted by: Pragmatist - 04-22-2019, 09:30 PM - Forum: WBAUnofficial - Replies (1)

I understand that the EFL meeting on Wednesday (24th) could be very interesting re FFP points deductions based on the assessments for the current 2018/9, being the third year of the 3-year cycle which Villa, Derby and Sheffield Wednesday are believed to have massively breached.

Villa and Derby may have good reason to be very nervous (Wednesday unlikely to be badly affected by any sanctions). The rules were specifically changed to make sure that sanctions could be applied in the current season, rather than after the promotion/relegation places and play-offs had already been decided.  And any sanctions are now also enforced by the Premier League - getting promoted to escape then no longer works.

The negativity amongst our fans about the play offs
Posted by: HeathAyIt - 04-22-2019, 07:34 PM - Forum: WBAUnofficial - Replies (59)

Fucking hell it's depressing. Even by our usual standards many are excelling themselves. We have been 4th all season, should have a side in decent shape injury wise for the semis and have scored 84 goals. Including 13 last 4 home games. I feel like many of the players deserve a bit more and we seem at risk of becoming a self fulfilling prophecy.

  Chump promotion odds

Sheff U 1/3
Leeds 15/8
Vile 2/1
Us 7/2
Boro, Bristol, Derby all 20/1
Swans 250/1

There must be some value here on a few quid on whoever you fancy to finish 6th at 20s. Or even a small punt on Swansea who still have to play Derby (Or Bristol, can't remember)

  Finishing 4th

is important. If it goes to extra time, I prefer that at the Hawthorns over Vile Park.

Pathetic.

Complete lottery now.

Being completely neutral I'd like to see Bristol City go up.

We can then rid the club of all the over-paid prima donnas and charlatans.

Very good 2nd half. He's no Gibb's but I don't get the criticism.
Field excellent today. Harper frustrating. Good on the ball (unlucky not to score) but not so good off it.
Brunt excellent when he came on.
JRod a different player once Gayle came on.
We need to keep Phillip's fit.
Dawson and Bartley decent.
Murphy and HRK shocking.
