Mind you, looking at the "hand gesture", it could be a Bulgarian soccer fan.

Good to see this from the Club. Very very sad, of course.

  Most joyous/miserable comebacks you've witnessed
Posted by: Spandaubaggie - 10-18-2019, 01:28 PM - Forum: WBAUnofficial - Replies (28)

This is a branching off of the thread below about when you feel comfy lead wise. What's apparent is the comebacks from a big deficit are rare enough, so just wondering the which ones have you enjoyed/hated most when you were there. It doesn't have to be the obvious ones either like Swansea in the 80s, or either side of those West Ham games in this century.
To me, I recall two great comebacks in particular, that had me delighted.
One was we were 2-0 down to Spurs at half-time around this time in 76. We came back and won 4-2. To that point I'd never seen Albion lose, but was convinced it was going to happen that day. Only annoying thing, all the goals were down the Brummie and I was in the Smethwick.
Another is when we were crap in 1990- we were away at Leeds, and I was in with them lot, with my Leeds fan mate. They went up that season and were 2-0 up after about an hour, and we looked likely to lose it badly. 4 -0 or so seemed likely. Anyway we got one back about 70 mins and they got proper jittery and sure enough we got a draw. Pretty sure Bartlett and Goodman scored.
On the down side, I remember us battering Ipswich and winning 3-1 in 86, when Bull scored twice. We only ended up losing 4-3.

  Bilic comment - Onions?

“.....If we are 3-0 up with 20 minutes to go it should be game over, big time! It can’t be that we go to 3-2."

Does anyone want to tell him he's at Albion now?

At what score do you actually feel comfortable that we'll win (not lose or draw)?  It's at least 4 for me but still always some creeping doubt if there's over 30 minutes to go.
