For those interested in the relationship of Linderman and Churchill and the Bengal Famine of the early 1940s there is a really good podcast on this in the Revisionist History series by Malcolm Gladwell. One of the 'conclusions' of the podcast is when it came to Bengal, Linderman may have been more led by Churchill's thinking than the other way round.

Have you read what the right wing activist has said in his blog? I wouldn't want to be associated with them either. 

I'm surprised you're commenting on this. You know as well as I do they lose one customer and gain thousands in free publicity for little effort. Why are you getting suckered into this?! Usually you'd see through this sort of 'ruse'.

Believe it or not, I'm usually "middle of the road" when it comes to these things.

Believe it or not I believe you. From your posts I would put you as centre right, with more concern about what affects you rather than towing any any sort of idealogy or doctrine. Nothing wrong with that!

I was just saying the guy was a bit of a nutter and the PR of the company saw an easy option to get some kudos. I wasn't implying you were a fully paid up subscriber!

This was purely marketing it had nothing to do with anything more 'weighty'. The cynic in me laughed that they wouldn't commit to an actual statement, because that would have taken actual work!

Which is to the good, I'm always suspicious of any company getting involved in politics, regardless of the cause.
