Mad Max
Campbell (hopefully back soon)
Phillips
Taylor
Styles
Mikey
Mowatt
Molomby
Villa kid
Price
Heg
If we can keep that team for the rest of the season we will be a solid team that can hopefully start scoring.
If we have to rely on more than two of the following on the pitch Maja, Dike, Diakite, Imray, Gilchrist at any point then we will keep struggling. It’s mad how poor this squad is.

I thought Imray post-booking and Gilchrist did ok tonight, especially as the blues’ biggest threats were operating down that side.

Im hesitant to put Taylor in after one good game. Personally I'd have gone for
Gilchrist
Phillips
Campbell
Styles

I think give Taylor a couple of games run at centre half in a back four after tonight to see how he goes. If he plays like tonight he's there for good, if he reverts to type then have a rethink.

"Villa kid" whilst tricksy, is a massive defensive liability.

I think at homes in our more winnable games playing the likes of Imray and JJA is a must. Away from home when we want a point I'm fine with a flat back four and two deeper midfielders.

You have to be flexible. It isn't a computer game where you pick your XI best players, that's Bruceball.

Thought Taylor did well last night but not convinced he’ll be the medium-term solution. Would rather see Campbell alongside Phillips once he is back fit. No need to play him at right back now that Gilchrist looks a little more settled and with Imray we have another option (with an almost opposite skill set) we can rotate as needed.
