I’ve heard that Ramsay has been told by the board to stop playing experimental formations and play 4-2-3-1 .

I think the formation makes less difference than the balance of the players on the pitch. Reverting to a Mason-esque 4-2-3-1 with six defensively minded players would be as stupid as persisting with the approach that has seen us beaten 8-0 by Norwich and Pompey..

They've had most of the week to train with the squad. Unlike O'Leary and Imray who were thrown in straight after meeting the other players. I reckon at least one of them will play. Depends to some extent on whether Molumby and MJ are involved.

No conspiracy theorist but the new lads are probably competition for MJ and Molumby, so maybe that has caused tension?
It's just ridiculous that we finally bring in a RWB and now have no LWB, so, either we go to a 4 and Imray is redundant or we stick with a 3 and have to play a square peg on the left. How can that be allowed to happen, given our predicament?

If we don't play the newbies, then I expect us to lose, whatever 11 or formation we employ, as they've proved that they just aren't good enough and, confidence wise, are on their arse. We need something different to give us a spark, provided they have done ok in training, I'd play both and maybe throw Dike in for good measure.

Totally agree. We have no dynamism or creativity other than MJ and when he's played in a 10 he's nullified. I'd sooner start Whitwell in the 10 and Bostock on the left and tell them to grab their chance but my guess is Jimoh will start on the left and possibly Hindolo in the 10 with MJ right. Also agree re Dike as Heggebø needs a rest and Maja is a fucking traffic cone.

Why keep picking an injured player Campbell will not play. Out for at least 3 weeks according to reports. So as much as we loath it Mepham will probably play.
