The Old Oak. BBC iplayer.
Brilliant.  It's a Ken Loach fillum so expect gut wrenching misery and brief uplifting moments.  It's no Notting fuckin' Hill but all the better for it.

One of Ken’s great films and I would encourage everyone to watch it, especially if tempted to vote for reform.

What. It’s garbage..saw it at cinema as I love loaches films.this was poor..still that’s how it is.

Why didn’t u like it,? I thought he tackled a difficult issue with thought and dignity.

Me too. I thought he managed to show the frustration and grievance felt by all parties and that the blame lies with those far away. (Maybe apart from the horrible youths with the vicious dog).

Yep, back to it's best. Really delving into the lore with the US/Canada stuff too as a nice side plot.

That said, I never had much success meleeing Deathclaws in Power Armor unless I was overlevelled.

Seen Saipan a couple of times in the cinema now. Thought it was excellent. In many ways not a football film at all but far more about the personalities involved. I'm not sure if this is due to the case of most films being 2 hours plus these days and, with most of them, being longer than they need to be but at 90 mins Saipan absolutely flashed by.

The backlog files: Orange is the New Black 8/10

Been meandering through 7 seasons and 91 episodes of OITNB for the past few months, it really is a superb show at it's best. When a series has so many episodes there are peaks and troughs but overall a really good watch. At heart it's a drama, and some of the storylines are stark, but it's threaded with black humour and sympathetic characters that takes the edge off the most serious of issues. I'd recommend it to anyone.
