Pretty much all of my mates are Bristol City fans and they unanimously think he’s garbage

Interesting it is just a 6-month contract.

He also made his first international appearance for ROI last year. We can probably only afford a 6-month contract given our current PSR struggles, but the picture will change at the end of the season enabling a longer deal to be agreed if he does well and wants to stay.

Don't think the contract costs would matter - as months next year will be counted in those numbers - maybe he isn't sure about sticking around either...

He will fit right in then. This is what I like about our data driven approach it’s consistent. Wink

Patto as he's affectionately called on the massive and brilliant Sunderland forum is utterly shit. So O'Leary short term to push JG looks good to me.

Never saw the hype around Patterson. Had tv exposure but always looked like a porkier and less able version of Pickford.

You could play him Griffiths and Wildsmith behind Mepham and Phillips and they still wouldn't keep a clean sheet.
I can see why Griffiths needs a break, his confidence is shot and that puts more pressure on those in front of him and vice versa, it's a vicious circle. Ramsay has tried, and failed miserably, re-inventing the formation, now he needs to go back to a 4 and re-invent the personnel.

Campbell Phillips Bielik Styles

Not perfect and won't solve all the issues overnight, but at least has mobility and passion.

I think Josh is getting a lot of unwarranted criticism all goalies make mistakes .in my opinion he has got one of the worst defences in front of him that I have seen in 61 years of regular support
