O'Leary set to join West Brom

Latest from Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas:

Max O’Leary is set to sign for West Brom on a permanent six-month contract.

The goalkeeper is leaving Bristol City with six months left on his deal there.

Sky Sports News reported earlier this month that O'Leary had interest from QPR, Blackburn and Derby, but he is now set to join Eric Ramsay's side.

Don't know much about him - but was there first choice for the past couple of seasons.

Interesting it is just a 6-month contract.

Well if true that should dispel twitter reports that we had won the race for Patterson from Sunderland.

I mean he must be an improvement on what we currently have right now - also shows how far we have fallen, taking Bristols No2

6 month deal...hope we can shift Wildshit out so its a 1 for 1 deal to allow another 1/2 loans to come in

Bristol city fans mainly think he is crap. Will fit right in if they are right.

Interesting it is just a 6-month contract.

He also made his first international appearance for ROI last year. We can probably only afford a 6-month contract given our current PSR struggles, but the picture will change at the end of the season enabling a longer deal to be agreed if he does well and wants to stay.
