He wouldn't - would he?

For £10m I wouldn’t care where he went tbf. That’s bloody good money for a 30yo striker without a great goal scoring record and allegedly on a huge wage.

Whilst we may not replace his composure, we can certainly replace his  work rate and harrying.

All the best JRod, thanks for the memories but anyone paying £10m needs their hand surgically removed, not bitten off!

I'd keep him even for 10m. Regardless of his age he's good at what he does and replacing with that money is not easy and a gamble not worth taking given the number of outgoings.

It’s not an option for the club to keep him if another club meets the buyout clause figure!

It is if he doesn’t want to go.

Can you see him turning down a PL move on PL wages?  I can’t.

J Rod was good last season and goals win matches but I think it is best he moves on.

First, to get his salary off the books but also because, for me, he disrupts the team. In an age of 1 up front I just don’t see where he fits in: he works hard but isn’t a wide player, he isn’t bad on the ball but isn’t technical enough to be a number ten and isn’t a lone striker as, whilst he works hard, he isn’t pacy and doesn’t hold the ball up well. A Fortune would score less goals but bring so much more to the team.

He would if they paid him. Why wouldn’t he?

If he goes we've got a hell of a replacement job needed up front. Taking out Gayle, JRod and half a season of Barnes goals from the team doesn't leave us with a lot.
