according to the Mirror, though they do seem to have a problem adding up!

£5m this summer and £5m next.  If so, better than we thought!

I think this is what was reported originally? Even the original John Percy article cited a £5 million up front fee with a second £5 million payment after 12 months.

Yep that was reported as his reward for agreeing to stay and fight to get us back up.

Right, didn't see that!

They way transfer fees are paid now getting half one season and half the following is normal - Sometimes payments are spread over the period of the players new contract (3 - 4 or 5 years) So it's all good. I'd rather keep him for another 12 months myself.
