Nobody works 24/7 so the Sunday trading argument doesn't work anymore.

I respect anyone's right to Sunday off, but plenty of others are prepared to work on a Sunday

The self employed do mate. Some of them do 25/7 the way they harp on about it.

The downside being the pay is shit, as his lunch only stretches to a meal deal at sainsburys

I don’t think this is about the right to practice religion, it’s the right to choose in a modern society.

I don’t think it’s right religion dictates how I live my life, equally none believers like myself have no right to demand religious folk live their life differently. That’s a just socially democratic society.

People should have the legal right not to work on religious celebrations, equally, the right to open and undertake business should be allowed for those who wish to open and want to work. Saving that each employee gets the 8 days bank holiday in addition to their annual leave.

The issue isn’t whether I believe or not whether shops should or shouldn’t open, it’s the right to choose in a democratic society.
