Thoughts with all the affected Blackburn fans at this difficult time....
Stupid actions, but if this is the worst thing that happened inside a football stadium last weekend, then we've come a long way since the 70's and 80's.
Goes to show though you can't get away with anything in these days of social media, so you have to be aware of your actions all the time.

he probably made the gesture towards a disabled, trans, asexual person of asian / black / innuit descent. Hence why it's such big news.
He looks like an idiot, and it is stupid, but i'm with the yep it's not really anything to get worked up about and isn't anywhere near like the headlines are making out. I was also expecting a face to face confrontation.

Come on, there no need for the head upside down jibe. Not all of us threaten to stab away fans! I'd rather be bald than carry on pretending you're not like Prince William! Ya wee fanny.

I'm just surprised it didn't come with a warning that some viewers might find it upsetting.

Someone didn’t get their Scotch Egg by the looks of it.
I would rather get a lift with Fred west than go on those coaches

They are a horrible experience. Some right weirdos and some folks who think they run the club because they sit at the front of the coach taking the tickets off paying customers. I'd like a scotch egg, though. And you're rightly feeling aggrieved at not receiving one.

Is it possible to be in a camp where you find both spectrums of support mentioned a bit weird?
I wouldn’t want to eat scotch eggs on a coach, and I wouldn’t like to stand next to someone at a match who is threatening to stab people

It’s ok Fred has picked one up at Gloucester services and is on route to pick him up on his way to Stoke.

Exactly.
Dad, what is the out of shape man with his head upside down doing?
He’s threatening to stab someone through the medium of performative dance.
Isn’t that wrong? Yes son but not as bad as someone sitting on a coach with a scotch egg.
Dad, yes son, football is a bit weird can we go home now?

I've seen the footage and that was from a CCTV camera. It's too clear and focussed to be someone's phone.
If he was thrown out and the response teams did their jobs properly, the authorities will have his ticket details and will be able to track him down. It may seem trivial compared to what went on in the 70's and 80's, but things are very different now. A football stadium should be a place where people can go to watch their teams and not have to worry about morons making threatening gestures. I have thrown dickheads out of stadiums for doing similar and they have received, at the very least, a fine and a banning order.
