Tad OTT reporting. Thought I was going to see a face to face confrontation. Handbag at 100 paces. I say handbag because the footage doesn’t show what the Rovers fan was doing with theirs.

Doesn’t this sort of thing happen at every game, every week? Can see why it’s gone viral for the comedy factor but this is hardly newsworthy.

To be on the BBC news is just bewildering. I know August is slow news wise but this is the sort of thing I have seen at games countless times over the years. It’s moronic but did anyone really believe this guy is going to slit a Blackburn fan’s throat. 
I think he deserves a warning and nothing more. 
No one was hurt and even in these most wokish times did anyone feel threatened? 
This is football, a tribal sport, not an Andre Rieu concert.
