So those 2,475 that have pre-existing conditions is ok?

And there seems to be an ignorance of one big issue here - let's say that the under 65s are ok to carry on regardless (because I agree by the way that they are at very low risk of getting and dying from this), what do we do with the 12M over 65s?

Or those that live with them, care for them and shop alongside them etc. Not to mention those that are disabled.

Tbf as we now know from the boards leading public health expert, virologist, statistician and sociologist all of those mentioned above hibernate during the winter months because Covid 19 is just the same as the flu.

Nobody want's anyone to die - stop being a prick. But simply no reason to lock those healthy under 60s up. They can support the more vulnerable in many other ways including the necessary health measures.

Society cannot be compartmentalised we are to quote Call Me Dave ‘all in this together’ and people of all ages are interconnected. Until you accept that very basic premise there is no point discussing the issue.

As for the under 60s being locked up, that is just ott rhetoric. Kids are at school, millions of people are still working, many shops are still open and until a few weeks ago you could to the pub, restaurant gym etc. There are sectors that have been hit hard no doubt and they need support but the idea we are all locked up is nonsense.

Some of the lads who I work with have underlying conditions heart conditions and behind diabetic etc and asked to be shielded..... they got laughed out of the office and said you can on ssp..

I know it is (been reported for months) it’s also affects men more than women but given 35% of the U.K. population is classed as overweight I don’t think it’s a helpful stat in regards to providing proof we should go back to normal.
