Finished season 1 of Landman last night.

Overall pretty good with some  silly comic relief from his ex-wife and daughter.

On Paramount +

Does it get any better? Feeling all a bit “hammy” so far.

Depends where you are.

If you don't like it by the end of episode 3 not sure you are ever going to like it. But like a lot of new drama first couple of episodes are not the greatest watches.

The documentary series Shifty on iplayer is weird, fragmentary, incoherent?, but strangely very watchable.

Shifty is Adam Curtis' latest documentary.  If you're not familiar with him, all of his stuff is mind blowing. I've saved it for this coming week, really looking forward to it.

I've only watched the first episode so far but it hasn't sucked me in yet like his best work - The Century of the Self, Hypernormalisation and Can't get you out of my Head.

I enjoyed this. Timothee Chalamet was the actor and was excellent.

We watched Mrs Doubtfire last night. A wonderful film, that always makes me laugh, no matter how many times I've seen it. Robin Williams was superb, wasn't he? That may be a nostalgic view, and his untimely death probably makes you think he's better than he actually was, but I really liked him and his films. Sad loss.

Rattled through the new squid game. Enjoyed it, though mentally exhausting
