I think we’re an attractive proposition in the current climate. Where would you put your £millions today? Cash pays nowt, government bonds not much more, commercial property? Not with the high street dying on its arse and 80% of people working from home. Listed shares? Yes but you’ve maybe missed the boat with the big US techs, and there are plenty of casualties to come elsewhere. Whereas a Prem club has a pretty much guaranteed revenue stream in all conditions and unshakable customer loyalty.

The Saudis were looking to buy a football club - would you be for or against it?

I’d feel pretty conflicted about being owned as part of a sports washing programme, and I’d be genuinely concerned about the club losing its soul as it grew with all that money... but at the same time I can’t pretend the thought of having billions to spend wouldn’t excite me a little.

Lepko would be shitting it. One critical article about the ownership and he'd receive an 'invite' to the Boardroom where he would be killed and hacked into pieces and disolved in a bath.

Big Grin its a no from me, then again actually seeing us win something would make a nice change.
I have no morals bring the head choppers to west Bromwich Albion........
Better the devil you know, for me. Like him or not, Lai has backed the club to a certain extent over the last 3 seasons (to at least as much a level as JP used to). I dread the thought of some of the types that have bought other clubs settling on us. I know it can be frustrating watching our neighbours spending money that isn't their own but ultimately it's right to be self sustaining. That isn't me talking from the high moral ground. I'm as vengeful as anyone and long for the day Abramovich get's tired of Chelsea, Man City get thrown out of Europe, Fosun demand their millions back and villa get done for FFP and get sold to the sons of the Bhattis.
It is worth remembering that Jeremy had us for sale for a couple of years without attracting any interest from any Father Christmas types.

Too many egos on here to make that workable.

I think of greater concern would be everyone finding the 100 grand. I could maybe muster £100. Do I still get a say in the running of the club?
In all honesty we could have been lumbered with far worse than Lai. He hasnt turned us into a laughing stock, he hasn't asset stripped and filled his bank account. Okay he hasnt spent millions of his own money on a star striker but we are healthy financially and the club pretty much still sustains itself. It could have been better, but it could be far far worse.
