That Twine looks the business, snapped up by Burnley.
Have they tied him down to a long term contract?

Grabban on a year's deal would be a decent signing. Much cheaper option than Gayle and has been playing regularly in recent years. Would be less of a risk than Gayle imo despite not necessarily being as good a player.

Not a sexy name, but a player who knows where the net is in the Championship and will be happy to play a bit part role. Bruce knows him, and got goals out of him at Villa and I think he meets the criteria of being able to play alongside and cover Dike depending on formation.
Worth noting he’s been training with Forest all summer and Cooper wanted to keep him for another year citing his impact on the pitch last season and also how important his character was to their dressing room.
Only negative to this transfer is his fucking stupid beard.

Would be an expensive one, and not an area we need cover in.
What budget we can muster has to go on a striker… whilst I’d like a fullback, I think we can get by blooding Ingram and Ashworth, given Reach has looked comfortable at LB and Bruce sees TGH as a right back.

I thought there was an extensive unanimity on not wanting us to sign older players?

Middlesbrough now in for Marcus Forss.
Having cooled their interest in signing Newcastle’s 32-year-old hitman Dwight Gayle – with club chairman Steve Gibson reluctant to sanction a deal.
14-time Finland international Forss better fits Gibson’s preferred age profile at just 23 years old.
