Banged on about how he’d be the answer to our midfield all last summer and how he was going for a song at Ipswich - really does infuriate me how shit our scouting and recruitment teams are. We need to get a damn sight better at making big, fast profits on players.

Why would he sign for us for peanuts when he can sign for the World Champions for mega-peanuts?

We should have signed him last summer, when we needed an energetic midfielder and could have picked him up for a song.

I did, he didn't fit the Val system.

You’re right, let’s pay Diangana as a central midfielder Wink

Gayle gossip is popping up again. I do hope not. His record over the last 18 months has been a disaster. At 32 he has little to offer. Thanks for the memories though.

You'd think we would be looking for the next Gayle. There's plenty of gems from the lower leagues that we've missed out on in the last few years. We have to start looking at younger players.

We OUGHT to be looking for the next Gayle, but I know we will be looking at the current Gayle.

Potential is a lost cause with this lot.

Oli Burke had potential.... I know what you mean though, but sometimes potential leads to costly mistakes... As with last year, we need to proven and will get us at least close to automatic... so actually, not like last year at all!

Looks like Keane Lewis Potter is off to Brentford for £16m.

Nice little windfall for Hull.

Aaron Hickey went there for £17m a couple days ago too. Another one I banged on about before he went to Bologna for a million or so a couple years ago.

To think we probably gave Ivanovic £2m to just show up for training.

I remember when he had a cracking debut when playing next to Hegazi after every other defensive partnership had been terrible.

Then we used that performance to justify getting rid of Hegazi.
