As a comparison last year there was a (quietly)reported 17,000 deaths in the UK from folk living in cold housing.Shocking.

Got to be honest I'm little baffled by it all. The death rate appears to be relatively low at the moment.
Reading on the BBC news site, 250,000 - 650,000 people die each year from influenza worldwide.
I can understand the need to learn more about the virus and keeping it relatively contained. Just seems the coverage of it all is little excessive at the moment.

Its the rate of growth that far outstrips anything seen before. Just a matter of time unless serious containment occurs.

It’s certainly not to be sneezed at. Big Grin

Your last line tells you exactly why this is all over the bloody news

Says who? Serie A games being played behind closed doors and they are looking into the feasibility of The Euro's being the same.

A far likelier possibility IMO with arrangements made regarding televising top tier games.

Serie A closed door matches now postponed.

Hopefully, it won't by your family, otherwise you're going to feel a bit shitty when you remember you wrote this!

Following this logic, we may as well all go on a killing spree or start a random war. All in the interests of checking growth, of course. Our victims will understand it may not be such a bad thing in the long run....

Calm down snowflake

Totally calm, certainly not a snowflake, just think it was an 'odd' thing to say. I'm now guessing you didn't really mean it, you just wrote it humorously to elicit this response and I got fished!

Can't see it personally. In other countries maybe.

Why ???

Are they going to ban all communal activities? No train travel. Everyone works from home?
Personally think it will all brush over in a couple of months.

Well.

Let's jolly well hope that you are right.

Be very interesting to see how the lads on the production line at JLR would get on, working from home.    Rolleyes
