Queen funeral watch

I’ve not watched any of it.

Lady D is watching and I’ve taken the kids out so she can watch in peace.

What do you expect a country like ours/mine to do KRO when something like this happens?

Have a 2 grand cremation and lay on picked eggs and shandy at the wake?

Credit to the queen for how she served the country, the commonwealth and the country for putting on such a suitable send off

One almighty send off and certainly feel I’m living through a moment of hugely significant history.

It's a  state funeral, Spandex, a much bigger deal than the others, which is its significance.  In historical context,  Churchill's was the last state funeral and bored me rigid.  Everything was in black and white then...

I'm working, so I am excused.  I don't work, I don't eat.

Yea I’m aware it’s a state funeral Hudds. Whatever title they put on such events, it sure is a big deal and think it’ll do wonders for the profile of this country.

Agree. The fact that all major TV stations globally are covering this as their major news tells you you everything

I’ve received a message off a Polish friend (who lives in Poland) saying how beautiful the funeral is. I didn’t have he heart to tell her I wasn’t watching it.

Pretty mad we've shut food banks for this.

Shut food banks? They are manned by volunteers who could have chosen to stay open but presumably, as this is a Bank Holiday, have chosen not to.

Volunteers have been opening temporary ones as certain food bank providers have closed for the day. It's what she would have wanted.

I've been watching it, thought the procession to the Abbey was stunning with the mesmeric drums and pipes - but I've had my fill now.

When is it ok for me to go outside and mow my lawn?
