Did you know that John Illsley the founder member of Dire Srraits attended Bromsgrove School?

I hope you don't mean ABBA...
I was goingvfir the Boss next but I'm not early enough
ABBA were fine, but ELO, Status Quo, 10CC, Dier Straits...
Just waiting for Phil Collins to complete the old farts set.
Golden oldies, Rolling Stones, music from the past...

I'd rather jack, than Fleetwood Mac - who we haven't had yet.
If I ever get on here early enough, I've got a cracking choice of band.

I won't post any new ones, to give everyone a fair chance.
My last one was going to be Glen Miller - just to piss Duffers off

Good Morning Judge for me. But so many.
Let's expand to Graham Gouldman as the thread progresses.
Hated 10CC as a kid and have not heard anything to change my mind since. Dreary mush.
All about individual taste as ever. The first two 10cc albums - the eponymous debut and Sheet Music - are as inventive as any you could wish to hear to my ears. About as far away as you can get from “dreary mush”.

Good list, Remi. I could contribute to most of those. Don't forget Stevie Winwood.

Would we widen that to include The Spencer Davis group, saw him at the NEC would have been late eighties maybe early nineties and there were some technical issues so he came out and played alone on a piano until the tech problem was sorted I got free tickets and was all that bothered at the time but it was an amazing evening in the end.
