Going to Leicester for £19m. I remember when we were after him but with another attacking midfielder to go with the likes of Maddison, Tielemans, Gray and Albrighton... where does that leave Harvey?

Out wide where he played for them last season. Praet isn't a winger

Brent seems to like Barnes so I imagine eh’ll Be ok.

Grey and Albrighton however...

They've got a fucking good squad going there.

3 or 4 teams just outside the big boys starting to look very very strong.

Makes it quite bleak for our future prospects even if promoted IMVFHO.

Yep, kind of had numerous chances to try a push on as but as a club at Prem level but never quite went  for it.
Not taking about stupid money but we had some key times when we needed some ambition on and off the pitch (eg ground expansion, cashing in on being the only local Prem team, January window debacles) and some sensible investment. Always too risk adverse and even our fans kind of let the Boards off lightly and just accepted our place instead of wanting ambition from the club.

I think they could break into top 6 this year as long as they find a suitable replacement for slabhead.

It's not out of the question for us to have more of a go if we go up again. The TV money is there for the taking. Build over a few years again. We're not out of the picture yet.

Do you have this response ready to go whenever the opportunity arises?

Plus, it helps when you sell a Centre back for 85m.

Disagree that you can compare us to Leicester. Wolves or Everton.

They have owners that are slapping massive cash around and in Leicester's case some how signed a couple of players which they then shifted for huge sums.

Even our best fucking laid plans couldn't compete with this lot.

Of course you could cry and demand Lai spend all his money but that's just down to luck who owns us. It'd have been better for us if we'd been shitter earlier and had been sat in the Champ when Fosun were on the hunt for a club.
