Lack of potency

I love Hegg and he’s obviously first choice but it’s becoming clear that Dike and Maja don’t carry a threat, for different reasons. Who else can we look to? Mustapha? Too much to ask surely. Jed? No pace or aerial threat.
How about Campbell? Has pace, presence and strength and decent in the air. All a bit desperate I know but if we don’t carry a threat opposition will be able to play without fear

Why, I fear we will go down. Even poor sides can attack us, knowing that even if we get the ball we`ll probably not do them any damage. By the time we get in their half, they have plenty back defending.
We are just too slow. If, as seems likely, it`s too much to ask of Mustapha, why bother to sign him. Maybe go like Pulis, play for corners, long throws and hope we nick a goal.

Isn’t that what we are doing?

Jed does have pace.

Can`t say for certain as I have missed the last few games.

When is Grant back?

He carries a bit of a goal threat...even allowing for the misses. Although actually they all need about 20 attempts to get close.

What I hope will happen is we start to rotate our wafer thin squad for the winnable games ie it might be more of what we saw against Blues and Stoke for Coventry, but we include more attack minded players for Charlton and Oxford.

Eg maybe start with two up front (despite being half arsed, Maja still looks the most capable of scoring, so him behind Heggebo), use Jed or Imray plus Styles in the back four, two attack minded midfielders alongside 2 from Molumby/Mowatt/Price in the middle.

It's pretty thin gruel I'll admit, but we aren't going to turn into the Brazil of 1970 with what we've got, so just got to hope it's enough.

When is Bany due back?

A week before he gets injured again.

I’m beginning to think that the real Bany is dead and we forgot to insure him, so back as soon as we can afford to hire his doppelgänger again. And then off injured.

Meanwhile, part of what got Ramsay the job was his ability to sound like him on the phone to his Mom.

If he warms up bare footed we will know he’s been replaced.
