I think it’s possible more than one thing is true here.

You’re correct, absolutely, but even if Eni Aluko only received the same scrutiny as male pundits do, she’d still be seen as thick, divisive and adding absolutely no value to the shows she’s on.

She got off lightly with her fake racism claims, and shouldn’t be anywhere near the media currently.

Yep. She's a lemon alright. In my opinion.

Yawn!

At least you haven't mentioned her race. Thank god Ian Wright is also black.

The joy of identity politics.

I think she's stupid, but I guess you will think that's due to me having white male privilege.

Well said..

Did anyone hear her on Talk sport today with Simon Jordan. So fucking funny. Jordan absolutely destroyed her arguments. He said something along the lines of "I've seen you on TV, I don't think your particularly insightful, you aren't likeable, and simply there are better pundits. Told her to stop bringing race and gender into the arguement. He finished with everyone has a timespan on TV and maybe you've had yours!  Big Grin

I saw a clip on YouTube (without Aluko) and thought Simon Jordan made some very good and sensible comments about the whole thing.

So it is still possible then to be crap at your job being a non white male?
Just checking for HR.
Sounds like Ennie needs a job in the public sector where she can get others to back up her lack of talent as a social injustice.

I watched the full 42 minutes whilst doing some admin today.

She came on thinking it would be good PR, tried really hard to stay moderate and diplomatic. But as soon as she was pressed on anything she reverted to type. Whopper.

Like many pundits, she said a lot of stupid shit, though she was certainly one of the worst.

I hated seeing her on a panel because nothing she said was ever remotely interesting or insightful, in fact it was honestly like she had lines prepared in advance and was going to say them regardless.of what actually happened. She isn't the only one mind, not the others aren't kicking off in media that they're being replaced by better. And to attack Ian Wright, a man who has been supporting women's football since the 90's, a man many women footballers credit as a key voice in the rise of their sport, is just career suicide, other female presenters are against her on it.
