Idiots project the blame for the  murder on the victim for exercising constitutional right.  The reason for bearing arms is to resist tyranny not to enforce tyranny.  "Ah but he asked for it" deflects what is total blame from the murderers on to the innocent (and public-spirited) citizen.  "BUT HE ASKED FOR IT!!"  Rinse and repeat.
