Wonder Stuff at the Academy last night was possibly my last gig of the year though I'm looking to see if I can pick up a cheap ticket for Madness and Squeeze at the NIA tonight.

Did my last gig of the year last night, Stereophonics at the O2. Older stuff was great, newer stuff less impressive.
With the rising costs of ticket prices and the fact that I've seen pretty much everyone I could ever want to see I've resolved to be a lot more selective with what gigs I buy from now on. Think Keo in March is my first gig of 2026. Top ten gigs of the year: Oasis - Cardiff opening night of the tour, atmosphere unlike any gig I've ever been to. Radiohead - The O2 Nights 1 & 4 (cheating a little by including two but I consider them two halves of the same show) Olivia Rodrigo - Glastonbury Wolf Alice - The O2 Pulp - Glastonbury Oasis - Wembley (had VIP and got plastered on free booze) Fontaines DC - Finsbury Park Gorillaz (Demon Days) - Copper Box The Cribs - All Points East The Murder Capital - HERE @ Outernet

I'm here with the wife. We didn't get to the hotel til 3:30, so we just had an hours wander round - I can't resist a bratwurst, overpriced or not. Probably won't do any bars, though it does seem a crackin' area to be in. We'll have a couple of drinks in the hotel bar when we get back. |
