I think you’re a tad out of touch if you think that. The only way they don’t win is tactical voting from people opposed to them. There certainly isn’t enough support for Starmer’s Labour.

YouGov has them over 300 seats in their last MRP during the summer, which puts Farage in no.10 one way or another. An MRP in October had them securing 445 seats, though that predicted an almost compete Tory wipeout (down to 7 seats), which seems unlikely.

I think if it was held today they may well just about form a coalition.

Any projections of how seats will fall in what will be the most tactical and split election we’ve ever had are frankly outdated models with no capacity for what’s changed.

People forget that while 30% May well back them at least as many will vote any way to keep them out

Can I introduce you to FPTP? We do not have ranked choice or proportional representation at general elections, they only need 1 more vote than whoever finishes second in enough seats even if 75% of the country votes against them.

For all of the predictions and polls there is one massive element that is missing from the Reform roadshow and that is any real analysis of what they stand for (reducing the footprint of the NHS and moving to an insurance based system, tax breaks for the wealthy, and reduction in spend on local services for example).

As we get nearer any sort of election let’s hope that the British people don’t get fooled twice from the same bullshit merchant. However having seen the amount of idiots that think flags are a good way to spend their time and money then I’m not convinced.

It’s one thing saying we want change but that is all too familiar from 2016 and if Labour, and the Tories, want to remove the threat of Farage then they have to call out Brexit for the disaster that it has been.
