Quick fire double this week with mid week fixtures tonight.

Draw 2-2 away after conceding a 96th minute equaliser at an Espanyol side that have started the season very well.

Looking likely I'll be heading over to Valencia in Feb. The dates we're looking at they have Real Madrid at home. I've no idea if tickets will be readily available or whether it'll be impossible.

Anyway, there's also some basketball, apparently. They have their own basketball team, so that will be a great backup plan.

My nephew popped over at the back end of last season and got two tickets no trouble, wasn't against RM though. He did get soaked as they don't seem to know what a roof is!

Lost the last two games 1-2 and 2-1.

15th in the league.

Next game vs Alaves who are 10th,  a club in the Basque Country in the north of Spain.

Mikel Arteta and Emery are both from the Basque area.

Looks like the loss of a couple of key players is hurting Valencia.

I saw the 1-2 home loss and they were robbed. 1-up from the third minute but couldn't grab a second despite dominating. Missed a penalty late on, and then conceded 2 in a minute, the first a scramble from a corner, the second a total scuff from Rondon which delected off a defender and looped over the keeper.

But they are not the team of last year. He'll do well to have them mid-table.

0-0 draw tonight.

Valencia rode their luck a bit but that's a good away point.

Now in 14th in the league.

Next match at home to Villareal who are third in the league.

I think the summer recruitment is catching up with them and we are seeing CC revert to what he trusts, solid defensively, no risks and trying to accrue sensible, if risk averse and uninspiring points consistently.
