Busted vs McFly at the AO, Manchester.

I should be embarrassed, but I'm not. They were both ace back when I was at school/college Big Grin

I’d seen them 5 times in the 2000s when they were originally around and honestly thought they were way better when I saw them last month. It felt like a genuine event rather than just a regular gig.I was slightly dubious about it initially but hugely exceeded my expectations about how good it would be.

Yeah I saw them a few times in the 00's too and it was always pot luck which version of them would show up, whether they'd sound decent, whether Liam was in a mood, etc. It wasn't always great.

Seen them twice on this tour and both times they've been excellent, probably the best I've ever seen them, it's been clear how seriously they've taken these gigs.

They were excellent last night. Was really surprised by how good the sound was in general, was in club Wembley seats about on the halfway line.

We were in Block 204, front row, on Saturday night and it was incredible. Was in a lounge beforehand with free food and booze.

Yesterday was a struggle.

No free food or anything for us sadly, but the view was great. Today is a struggle…

Not as too cool for school as some on here but off to see Roachford and Level 42 tomorrow in town and really looking forward to this one. Real trip back to my youth

Seeing them in London next weekend.

Let me know how they are.

Will do, they were quality 20 odd years ago. Remember all four members playing their individual drum kits at one point which was excellent.

Expecting it to be the baldest gig I’ve ever been to. Thousands of hairless 6Music Dads stroking their chins in unison.

Surprising amount of nodding hairy(ish) heads, you may be surprised.

They were excellent btw, forgot how well they swapped positions on stage to play different instruments. Bird on a stick was a nice touch.

I have a hint of regret in not even bothering to try for an Oasis ticket because every opinion that I've read/heard about this tour, without exception, has been hugely positive. I last saw them at Knebworth which was shite IMO and then I got bored with them. Serves me right.
