Arf dragging up American independence from the UK 249 years ago as proof Brexit was a good idea. At least Reece Mogg said it would only take 50 years to see any benefits.

The true believers will say anything other than admit they are wrong. No amount of evidence will convince a fool that they are wrong. Whether it's a failure of statecraft, the wrong sort of Brexit or the promise of untold riches and available virgins in the afterlife, their brains are an empty vessel.

Good luck with your Green Card application. As much as I plan to spend a fair bit of time out of Blighty, the US wouldn’t make my top 50 but that’s the beauty of choice.

At least there are 27 other countries in Europe that Brits can stay in for up to 90 days in a 180 day period.

Sunlit uplands again. But they don't really compare to sunny Europe.

Lots of rumours abounding at the moment, but the key ones around VAT. I have no problem with extending the scope of VAT as it's far too narrow at the moment anyway, but I suspect what's more likely is a substantial reduction in the VAT threshold.
