Each to their own but have found it excruciating and had to turn off.

Yes, enjoyable although you need to suspend belief now and again.

Same, quite a heartbreaking, shocking story, but great acting by Sheridan and what a woman Ann Ming is.

Just back from watching the new Spinal Tap movie. It's alright, but felt more like it was focusing on the music (which is good), rather than the comedy.

Freddie Flintoff's "Field of Dreams"  season 3. All four episodes available on player.

If you can watch it from Series 1 it puts things in context. In series 1  he is not a well man, and is still recovering from the Top Gear crash.

In each series he aims to get a bunch of no hope kids to form a cricket team and compete to the best of their ability.  It is as much about personal development for these kids and great to see them develop into good people as a result of someone giving them a bit of guidance,  and encouragement to do the best that they can,  with the talents they have.

Series 2 was good where he takes a team to India where he is revered by the Indian youngsters who recognise him on the streets. India is an experience in itself.  The team end up playing street cricket which is a big thing India. The streets are where us old farts learned to play the game with the stumps chalked on a wall.

In this series he forms three teams from Liverpool, Manchester and a girl's team from Blackpool.  Interesting that the Manchester team is based in Newton Heath where United were formed in 1878.  It's a pity that one or more  of the City or United players can't fork out a day's wages to restore the dilapidated  ground and pavilion of the club to provide a community facility that will give the kids a focal point for their sporting activity,  and keep them off the streets.  It's fascinating to see how youngsters who would never normally  be friends, and in other circumstances may end up stabbing each other, learn about each other, and form life long friendships.

But above all, the star of the show is Freddie.  He's very lucky to be alive.  He has  been to hell and back with depression. His patience and personal generosity and empathy  in listening to and encouraging these young people, who have had a lot of shit in their lives, is inspirational.

Slow Horses series 5 starts in a couple of weeks on Disney + and Tulsa King starts in October.  Looking forward to both.

I've loved All three of Fields of Dreams. Flintoff is brilliant but I'd personally say the kids are the stars. Seeing them react so positively to being encouraged and inspired is wonderful. Probably a lesson for society in general. Shout out to Kyle Hogg too who is absolutely superb with the kids too.

Slow Horses is one of those very rare series where the missus and I will actually sit together in the same room and watch the same programme so probably a good thing when it arrives next week!
