I can’t remember us having a striker with such physical strength since Lukaku (not comparing him to Rom) and his hold up play is excellent. He won’t be prolific but with a three of Mikey, Isaac and A.N Other behind him who he can bring in to play there is great potential for an exciting forward line even after the disappointment of losing Tom.
The thing is, for the first half of the Lukaku season he was coming off the bench for Shane Long. It was after Xmas he really bloomed into something special. Heggebo, admittedly at a level lower, has hit the ground running. I think we may have unearthed a gem.

That really was a special time when we could keep Lukaku in reserve as Long was doing so well.
It’s definitely a huge positive that Heggebo has started so well particularly as we don’t have a great deal of other options. I really wouldn’t rule out Maja leaving this window if we got a good offer.

I see the comparison with MAF, but I think Heggebø is more talented. He's raw ATM, but eventually he'll be far better than MAF, I'm sure.
Oh, and I really rated MAF, massively rated him.

I was just comparing ability to hold the ball up top, Fortune was amazing at that.

Ball holding up play and direct runs are better than Rondon and MAF.

The difference is that MAF was doing it against some of the best defenders in the world at PL level, not the Championship which is a huge level lower. Saying he’s better than MAF is silly at this stage, he may become better in time.
Regardless he looks like he could be a real find, if he does add goals to his game he won’t be with us for too long!

Our defence is (rightfully) being praised after yesterday but it don't half help when you have a Heggebo available to relieve pressure and create problems at the other end. He was excellent against Pompey and probably surpassed that yesterday. Whatever scouting method found this guy, that's what we should be using.

Said to my lad on the way out he takes so much pressure off and at the moment the stuff he does up top is the beginning of our defence. He won a header very late on that he had no right to win and it bought us a crucial minute. It’s invaluable

This absolutely. There were times - even under Corboran - when the opposition could press without fear of getting caught out. Even a hopeful ball to Heggebo seems to stick, giving us enough to come out and make the opposition retreat. Before, it would undoubtably get recycled back into their next attack.
The only thing I disagree with is his goalscoring potential. I see nothing that makes me thing he won't score more. Personally, I think he's just been unlucky and maybe, just a little desperate to score. On top of that, there must be a level of adjustment needed to play in this league.
