Just listening to the playlist now and there are some great memories on there. Cannot wait.

Hope you and Mr Partridge enjoy it!

Just had a decent couple of weeks:

Hamlet Hail To The Thief at the RSC was an impressive production though I was there for the music (they may as well have spoken in Danish, tbh)

James at Cannock Chase was wonderful. Band were on good form as ever, but the weather and venue were glorious. Near perfect.

Elbow at a park in Warwick. Finally seen them at last. A fine band but there were a couple of songs I was desperate to hear that they didn't play which disappointed me, but finale was grand. Whole experience soured by shite organisation and Draconian restrictions though.

I think that's it until the autumn when I have Cud, The Wedding Present, Lambrini Girls, The Horrors and Stereolab lined up. Probably more to come

Just checked that James setlist and feel rather envious.

Not bought tickets for Stereolab yet. Will probably go as much to see all the Guardian readers of the West Midlands in one room as to see the band. Still regret not seeing them when Mary was alive.

After an absolutely manic few weeks of Wunderhorse, Sam Fender, Pulp, YYYs, Glastonbury, Oaiss and Fontaines DC I’m pretty relieved to have nothing at all in the diary for the immediate future.

Gorillaz performing seminal album Demon Days in full at the end of August is my next gig.

Off to see Later Youth support Josh Rouse in Stroud tonight.
Mostly Jazz Funk and Soul the weekend and then a break before Oasis in Edinburgh and then an incredible line up supporting The Maccabees at All Points East late August. They keep adding bands to that. Added a new stage where Warmduscher and Futureheads are playing. That's going to be some day

Destined and Weezer co headline show was really good, Crystal Palace park is a good venue for 15k people. Got the Manics at Audley End in a few weeks with Ash and the Charlatans supporting.
In the form of his life.

Seen Ash twice this year, sounding better than ever. I forgot how much I used to love them live.

Been a long time since I've seen them, but they always used to be good value for money. Not seen them since Charlotte left.
