Yes, I thought I saw him. It was so packed our lot were in 3 separate groups, couldn't find room to stand together.

Went to see bdrmm at the Castle & Falcon last night despite not knowing too much about them. They were ok but the shoegaze tag isn't a perfect fit IMO. Nice merch and record sleeves mind.

I've only got Pixies and James booked so far this year. I had a shortlist of about 25 the other day, need to pull my finger out...

Public Service Broadcasting at Liverpool, a week Sunday. Good excuse for a grubby couple of nights .
Tickets in the bag for Simple Minds/China Crisis at Lincoln Castle - Mrs LB's home town, so hangover B and B at my brother in laws.
Also booked to see China Crisis again at Shrewsbury Abbey - will be interesting to see if the revered surroundings curtail Gary Dalys propensity for entertaining but potty mouthed banter. I hope not.
Boomtown Rats in Nov - still a very good live act.

Picked up a ticket for MJ Lenderman at the Roundhouse in August.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are teasing dates to be announced soon. After that I’m going to hold off booking any gigs for a while, have spent a fortune recently!

I went to the Bdrmm gig as well. Seen them a few times now and much prefer them live to on record. They come across as much heavier and powerful live. The newer material has a far more electronic edge to it than the first record which I think works well.

Seeing Ivo Graham do an early evening gig at the MAC tonight then heading over to the Castle and Falcon to watch The Loft.

The Delines, Glee Club Brum tonight. Ex Richmond Fontaine guys with a great girl singer. Lovely stuff, Americana country-soul. Great gig.

Just got tickets for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club in SF. They’re doing a 20th anniversary of Howl tour - 20 years! I’m getting old.
