FAO those on a diet, quitting smoking & dry January

How did you all get on with dry Jan  / diet /  stopping smoking / New Years resolutions?

For those that gave in and went back to their previous routine, remember. YOU only fail when YOU stop trying!  Try again next month and keep going until you succeed.

As I said, it's just about tone deaf enough to be FF, and therefore you have to suspect it could also be CC.

good to see the Catholic guilt trip in full flow for the sin of  enjoying one's life.

I saw my GP last week and told her I was on a Mediterranean diet and had lost two stone.

I actually enjoy cooking and Michael Moseley Fast 800 recipes are really good.

Being an Aussie she said words  to the effect of  "WTF are you doing dieting at your age?  Enjoy life, you ain't got that many more years left! "

I left feeling a lot better.  I think?

Oh fuck off ya sanctimonious tit! I’ve got a very ill wife who has a life debilitating illness so my life at the moment is a whirlwind of 50 hours work and being a carer so excuse my short temper with bullshit like this. The only thing keeping me going is coffee a cigarette and a couple of whiskeys. Stick to BBQs long walks and polish prostitutes
