I've realised I've only seen 3 of his films: Eraserhead (a deeply disturbing taste of what was to come), the beautiful and sensitive treatment of The Elephant Man and Wild At Heart. I aim to watch Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive in the coming weeks, long overdue.

But for me, I'll always remember him for the Twin Peaks TV series, truly a landmark series. Weird and wonderful. RIP David

Do the straight story - the cinematography is amazing and Freddie Francis won a few awards for it.

And I wouldn't have an Avatar!

David Lynch is part of a small fratenity of famous people who, when he dies, despite his enormous body of artistic & financial achievement, the very first thing everyone says is: he was so kind. What a good, kind man.

His work speaks for itself.
