Surpassed by few. From Frank Booth to Alvin Straight....class.

Great tribute from Kyle Maclachlan. RIP

And only days after Sam Moore.

The blows keep coming.

Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.

I was looking at his Filmography this morning and surprised by how unprolific he was - which given his legendary status probably tells you all you need to know about his genius.

I've realised I've only seen 3 of his films: Eraserhead (a deeply disturbing taste of what was to come), the beautiful and sensitive treatment of The Elephant Man and Wild At Heart. I aim to watch Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive in the coming weeks, long overdue.

But for me, I'll always remember him for the Twin Peaks TV series, truly a landmark series. Weird and wonderful. RIP David

Blue Velvet is top of the charts for me. Wild at Heart is a great picture but BV has a real disturbing undercurrent. It is entertaining and terrifying at the same time. Loved Twin Peaks. By Mulholland Drive he was experimenting with all manner of ideas. The ones after that (when the main characters changed roles in some kind of reincarnation, mid fillum!). Well, I was baffled. R.I.P. David thanks for the work, one day I might understand it all.

RIP - one of the all time greatest artists - up there with Michelanglo.

Interesting quote from Lynch for you TJ:

"People accept that life (supporting Albion?) doesn't make sense - why do they expect that art has to?"

Without Eraserhead we'd have never had E.T.

RIP my favourite director. Wild at Heart is in my top 10 and Twin Peaks the best TV series (recent one is amazing).

No one needs to agree, I have weird tastes!

Wild at Heart is only film ive paid to watch twice at the cinema and within a few days of each other.

The soundtrack alone is worth several listens.

Dennis Hopper , Frank in Blue Velvet is the most deranged character in movie history.
