On that note would Fletcher be a consideration?

Still lots of options, Pearce needs to sort it or bugger off, he's stealing a living. As for Nestor what's he up to. They should always have a list of who's available all this Messi g about clearly demonstrates how useless they are.

Wow so because it’s not done on your timescale there useless, that’s a pathetic way of looking at it.
So if Wicky was first choice and couldn’t through no fault of the Albion didn’t check wether his coaches we’re available it’s our fault. Some posters should look at the big picture, Bikul have a certain way they want the Albion to play, so that automatically rules out some managers/ coaches who some of us would like. So we have to trust what is going on behind the scenes instead of getting on there backs. Let’s be patient just like we were when Shilen took over.

None of us know what's happened during the process, it seems like we found our man, only for it to fall apart due to work permits. Now we have to found an alternative, some who were interviewed may not want to try again, others didn't convince for various reasons, a usually Premiership level manager became available as that happened which has to be looked at by anyone serious.

Overall all we can do is wait and see what happens.

I reckon it'll be Mowbray short term at least, a lot of it makes sense. Then sort long term in the summer.

For me if there is no other suitable candidate and Mogga wants the job give him an 18 month contract to see where he can take us. My big reservation is not is Health because to come back he needs to be cleared by his consultants, it is the waiting time. He I believe is having his scans today great but it will take another week for the results. Can we wait that long, this time next week we will have played 2 more games and be preparing for a 3rd.
I’m a Mogga fan plays the way our new owners want. He is not by any means my first choice but I’m a nobody when it comes to those choosing our ne man.

I still wonder if the Wicky deal can be resolved. I have no idea.

I reckon Pearce has been distracted by the biscuits on offer in every interview.

No way he’s finishing this process whilst there’s still bourbon creams going spare.

Surely both parties check if the managerial team want the job and if so, can they commit? I agree things may happen, a change of heart or circumstances but it’s not filling me with much confidence that this is the slick operation some hope/ seem to think it is.

Normally the club just check with the applicant, he'll have spoken to his wanted staff. If they said no, it's on him, not the club, I also worry about a head coach who needs those particular staff with him tbh.

Sadly this does happen at times but isn't played out in the media because someone leaked it early as happened here. Seems others interviewed now don't want the job or we really weren't impressed so don't want to go back to them, so we're left scrabbling around.

Surely every manager wants people he can trust to work with him. I’m hoping we are not doing another Pepe Mel. Logic tells me we aren’t given the apparent circumstances of why the appointment fell through.

Sadly as I’m not a fan at all of TM, the possibility of him returning makes some sense but anything beyond a 6mths contract currently would be a poor indictment of the clubs recruitment processes or means TM has done well (play-offs) and is fit and healthy to continue.

Usually they have a few contacts, not utterly reliant on a particular name, not suggesting we do a Pepe Mel.

I think the applicants will be made aware of the budgets they can use to bring their own coaching staff in...

It may well also be that Wicky's number 2 decided he wasn't as up for it when it came to committing as he was when he first got the call. Folks change their mind.

(Either that or they caught a livestream of the Bournemouth game and read Twitter after)
