We're not shopping in the same supermarket as we used to and I think some fans (mainly those on twitter) need to wake up and smell the (ownbrand) coffee.
We either go for an unproven risky young manager/coach and hope for the best or we go down the route of someone like Eustace who IMO would be a fairly safe pair of hands. Both has it's pros and cons but some fans need to really wake up and realise we are not the club we were 10 years ago and need to get comfortable with that... and quickly.

You said Corberan's football was tedious. I personally think Eustace would be a steady appointment but I can see many on here turning on him in 6 weeks when they see us not going all Ossie Ardiles.(12-28-2024, 05:34 PM)MrBater Wrote: Pretty similar here, I'm fully expecting someone who's name scores highly at Scrabble and is vastly difficult to spell for loads on here. Hmm indeed. In response to posts suggesting that those who don’t necessarily see it as the end of the world being labelled ‘idiots’. It cuts both ways. But that’s the beauty of modern, polarised arguments. People exaggerate. You’re doing it above as it happens.

No, those posts were well before he departed and we were in the midst of our no score draw era.

Glad you were keeping tabs. As is often the case with a lot of my posts tongue was firmly in cheek. But in any case this is sidestepping the issue. I didn’t want the guy to go. It’s a bit silly having a bunfight now he has, just because everyone is pissed off about it. A tad McCarthyist even. Especially, as it transpires, that he didn’t want to be here that much anyway. But rest assured that next time a manager doesn’t do so well I’ll keep my critique above the waistline so as not to offend anyone only to learn about it several weeks later down the line. It seems an Albion manager has to play free flowing football, reduce the wage bill and sign only wonderkids as well as the club being promotion contenders. In other words, Warning, beware, your team may go down as well as up.(12-28-2024, 06:04 PM)Tom Joad Wrote:(12-28-2024, 05:56 PM)HawkingsHalfpint Wrote:The irony.
