Well I’m not shocked that Trump got in, but I didn’t want him in. Let’s just wait to see how many fallouts appear over the next four years. Unless he changes the constitution and keeps going for as long as he likes.

Riddle me this then, I had a chat around the bar of rooftop pool in Charleston with a guy who runs sports for kids in 16 states in the US, had an Ivy League education and is a scion of a huge Canadian investment firm. Trump is his guy. The conversation opened up to a half dozen others who seemed pretty cogent. Trump was their guy. A young woman employed by Hilton came around to chat to us about bookings for 2025 Trump was her guy, immigrant cab drivers in Atlanta - Trump was their guy.

It comes down to the economy and immigration. Everything else is just noise.

There's a difference between being a Trump supporter and having a an explanation of why he won which is something other than "Americans are thick and stupid".
