Let's take the Will Self approach.  Not everyone who voted for Trump is thick and ignorant, but all the thick and ignorant people voted for Trump.

It's a stounding that he's won, despite everything he's done and said and the Democrats need to take a long hard look at themselves.  This should have been a walkover for them, up against a convicted felon, sex offender, serial proven liar and allround bad guy who they've voted out once before.  A man who reacted to losing by instigating an attack on their home of democracy, a man who has told them that Democrats are the enemy within and he'll use the law against them and that people won't need to worry about voting again.  Yet he still own.

Batshit crazy are the Yanks, but all the Democrats had to to do was find someone remotely electable to the US population.  That was never going to be a black woman.

If Labour fuck up the next few years then we'll have our version, be it Kemi or Farage.  Or just imgaine a dream team of them joining together for a right-wing bangbang for goose-stepping facists.

Riddle me this then, I had a chat around the bar of rooftop pool in Charleston with a guy who runs sports for kids in 16 states in the US, had an Ivy League education and is a scion of a huge Canadian investment firm. Trump is his guy. The conversation opened up to a half dozen others who seemed pretty cogent. Trump was their guy. A young woman employed by Hilton came around to chat to us about bookings for 2025 Trump was her guy, immigrant cab drivers in Atlanta - Trump was their guy.

It comes down to the economy and immigration. Everything else is just noise.

The fact that this was still close made me think he was going to win.

After watching it all night I knew it was definite when I heard the was shocking stat that 60% of Latino men voted Trump at one of the counts, and I went to bed.

You can't legislate for stupidity like that which I suspect is primarily driven on not trusting a woman to be in charge, as Obama said was the case with black men.

It's like Trump is cunt, sorry a cult leader and anything he does and say doesn't matter.

Things that have been revealed about him would have killed other candidates' campaigns stone dead (pussy grabbing for example).

Yet, he calls Mexicans rapists and mocks the disabled and is a convicted criminal and he just gets more popular.

He did nothing about anything last time, yet the morons forget that and elect him again knowing he is less likely to do anything this time as in American politics the president spends their first term ensuring they win a second.

He has no such incentive and this term will be getting himself out of legal troubles and making himself and his friends rich and no worries about another election as he can't run again or he has managed to get the dictatorship he wants.

They voted him so they deserve what they get. 

It's the likes of Taiwan I feel sorry for, as it is a now or never kind of opportunity for the bullying Chinese to invade without the fear of a American response.
