' Transfer Speculation Thread '
As much as I like BTA - his sale would be a game changer for us - both cash wise but more so FFP. Feels a bit like the Hughes sale in the early 2000's where that invested money could make us real contenders

Anything over 4m should be absolutely accepted. He's been a decent signing for us but he is nowhere near a PL player and I'm almost certain we could find a better goalscorer with that money

i think BTA could be the main man this year, shown improvement every season and this is a key season for him. 2 in 2 pre season if he can convert 25% more chances then hes a top striker, selling for less than 10 would be ridiculous.

I think we should keep him and see how the first 6 months of the season go

£4m isn't enough as we'd struggle to replace him for that.

New contract, release clause at around £10-15m.

Saints spent £8m on Ross Stewart who was older, had missed a year with a knee injury and had far less experience in the Champ and only had 12 months remaining on his deal. If they want BTA the bidding starts at £10m.

Would be open to someone like Edozie, Smallbone or Bree on loan too. Doubt any of them will be regulars for them.

IMO, a release clause that high would just be irrelevant, I don't think he's worth anywhere close to that amount personally. No idea if the rumours are true but I'm shocked if a PL side are genuinely interested, he would surely be a 3rd choice or backup option only

Some chat around Kaide Gordon on loan

Rak-Sakyi from Palace is going on loan Derby by the looks of it. Would’ve been a good edition.

Half the Champ are being linked with him, and apparently Saints and Leeds are offering decent money for a permanent transfer. Will be shocked if he ends up at Derby!

Might be wrong, it looks like it’s the other highly rated lad going to Derby, David Ozoh. Palace won’t deal with any PL clubs for Rak-Sakyi

Considering Ipswich have just spent on £20m on Liam Delap who has hardly set the Championship alight in his loan spells I'd be looking for something in the region of £10-15m for BTA. It's the going rate for any half decent Championship forward these days.
