No, he’s completely finished at this level. Was absolutely awful at Stoke.

3 goals in 50 games and none this season, sadly I think he’s shot, although we shouldn’t let being shit for Stoke be a barometer of a player’s ability!

Not sure if his contract was terminated in time for him to sign this side of the summer - expect him to end up back at Peterborough.

Honestly, Albion fans obsession with Gayle is weird. His last good season was with us, since then he's done nothing anywhere.

I really wouldn't. 

He scored three goals for us. Two in one game and one that hit him on the arse, sending the keeper the wrong way. 

I agree that you can't judge a player by how bad he is at Stoke, but really, he wasn't even particularly unlucky. He just didn't get into enough scoring positions, and when he did, he'd either be leaning back or getting his feet mixed up. 

It was actually sad to see the deterioration.
