After that it was not a good advert for football or ourselves.

They bought a stake in Bologna who have a very chequered recent history in crowd violence with their ultra's attacking Torino and Milan fans in some serious violent clashes. If they are serious about wanting to invest in a British football club and aren't aware of the rivalry and tribal nature of the game then I'd be very surprised. Hooliganism is known throughout football in the UK and Europe and has been for decades. It's not put off other investors in other clubs. |
