Fair play. I was permanently banned from there with no warning, explanation or opportunity to appeal and the only thing I could think of was that it coincided with was me referring here to a post on there (which I did make clear when posting). As my requests for an explanation went unanswered, I don't know that was definitely the reason, but I'd entirely stopped posting on there for some time so it certainly wasn't to do with something I'd written there.

Bearing that in mind, it might be worth considering being wary of what you bring across.

I also got a lifetime ban for being to outspoken to certain posters, it’s a very tame board you cannot even swear.

It is the least fun bit of the internet going, separate forums for each match, transfers, no politics chat (and we all love that), a swear filter that instead of just ***ing words it changes them to something really juvenile that makes you look a twat. It's a hard pass from me, but the place has been going bloody years.

Have to agree, it's no fun at all, far too serious. You can't even swear. let alone offer someone out FFS. And god help you if you stray off topic.

I hope this is right and the takeover is close.

The article is by Matt Slater who is their lead journalist on all things football finance and as such is a credible source and having named names I suspect those names are in the frame or were at some point in the process.

I would point out that we have entered into a period of exclusivity and every other source including Percy are saying it is the American bidders. On that basis I think we can discount the Farnell Group and NOAH football. That leaves Shilen Patel and that bid is reported to be favoured by MSD.

MSD have always had a pivotal role in this. If they have an opinion on anything to do with the club what they say goes because if for whatever reason they chose to demand the loan repaid then the club is in administration which is game over for Lai or any other prospective owner, unless they have £28m plus the interest to tell MSD to go to hell. I don't think the other suitors have that kind of money.

I suspect therefore that Shilen Patel is the party in the final stages of the takeover.

We should start a support group... has been a decent site previously but over moderation has left them with 8 admin/mods and about 10 regular posters.
