Takeover

This would also allign with the players putting in an extra shift as they are getting wind of fancy new owners / new owners who possibly might invest in a couple of reenforcements and give them a chance of a bit of glory?

So when is Taylor Swift coming to the Shrine?

If you want to buy a club on the cheap, then, that would normally mean one that is struggling both on the pitch and off, whereas, by some miracle, we are actually doing quite well. Surely that would inspire someone with genuine interest to act quickly to fend off any fire sale.
I'm no financial expert but if someone bought us now for £35m, kept the squad together and gained promotion, they would probably double their investment within a few months. Nothing guaranteed, obviously, but that makes more sense to me than waiting to shave another few mill off the price but getting a threadbare team that's heading in the opposite direction.
If there's any fly in the ointment it should be Lai thinking we are, perhaps, undervalued, given our current league position.

Swift is injured. Taylor mostly on the bench.

I would imagine it's built-in that there is an extra amount due if we get promoted this season.

Similarly, if any playing assets get sold and the cash removed from the club, between offer and purchase time - the price would automatically go down.

It's the only way a sale could work. Therefore, a better performing West Brom is better for everyone - assuming the buyers can afford the promotion price. And if they can't - we really don't want them!

Ok so if these rumours of Clark Hunt are true he aint the richer than rich owner that was rumored but that dosent necessarily matter, this guy obviously knows what he is doing in regards of owning and running a sporting entity. He has turned Kansas city chiefs into one of the most successful NFL franchises in the last decade or more on and of the pitch. If he can replicate some of that with us then that'll do for me.

I for one don't want us to be an NFL franchise.
In the form of his life.

Randy Lerner was paid £10M for each season Villa stayed in the Prem League (max £30M) after promotion was achieved. I would think our sale contract will have something similar.

He's definitely richer than me...

He also has some links to the American 'soccer' leagues too... so must actually like real football as well? he inherited the KC Chiefs (but they've nearly doubled in value since 2016, so he either knows sports investing or knows people that do).

We were headed that way under Pulis.
