That's just getting old Josh.

Nothing is as good as you remember.

I'm finding this out now I'm the wrong side of 30!

I did play through MGS3 earlier in the year and that's just as good as I remember. It's the best game ever made, for me.

If a game is good I can play it again and again. I've played through TLOU 5 or 6 times and it's just as good every time. I've yet to play through no2 again, however.

There aren't many games from pre-2000 that stand the test of time. They even have to be timelessly simple like Tetris or stone cold classics like the 2D Mario games or SNES Zelda.

Most of it will underwhelm now.

I always enjoy replaying Resident Evil games to unlock the superweapons and just blast through everything that moves.

I'll always have time to replay OG Super Mario World on the SNES.

Yes. If you liked the old BG games/any CRPG, it's worth a play - high quality.

If I wanted to get into Final Fantasy. Which game would I start with? I don't think the stories are related, are they?

7 original is the best overall, 4, 5 and 6 are great old school games. 7 remake is a great game, 8 I hated but people love it. 9 was cartoony but great, 10 part 1 I didn't finish...

9 is the best IMHO.

7 is best for a lot of the generation on here for nostalgia reasons, and as a massive fan of FF7 and all its associated media (Got a tattoo and all.) I have to say the original has dated BADLY, play the honestly spectacular remake if you plan on playing that, and get excited for the next part early next year.

I'd honestly say FF9 is the most, Final Fantasy of them all while still being playable nowadays.

However, for the modern gamer who isn;t attached to key parts of the franchise, 15 is superb, and I've not yet played 16, but only heard good things.

Birdy is right, it hasn’t aged well, BUT playing that before the remake will give a greater understanding of the world and how good the remake actually is. Just come out on the switch hasn’t it? The OG one.

Indeed.

If anyone is to play it, I'd suggest play it on PC, and mod it a bit.
