West Brom rising star Kevin Mfuamba has agreed a professional deal at the club after attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs, [b]sources have told Football Insider.[/b]
The central midfielder, who turns 17 on Friday, will sign pro terms in what is a major boost for the Baggies.


They feared losing the England Under-17 international to one of multiple top Premier League clubs who had made moves behind the scenes to lure him this summer.

Some 17 year olds are ready if they are physically mature.  Rooney and Bellingham were only 16.  I would love to see the lad get chances this season which I see as one where expectation levels are no greater than top half.

It's not often someone hasn't broken through into at least into a Championship team by around 20 if they're going to go on and have PL careers.  There's always a few who arrive late into the game but most are known at that age.

When we still have "kids" at 21-22 who aren't getting proper game time then we should all know really that they're deemed not good for a top end career  (I'm sure there'll be 1 or 2 exceptions before someone names a player, but generally this is the case).
