Interesting that Albions offical Insta poster for todays game features Fellows, Taylor and Swift. Hopefully a sign that all 3 will start.

Sounds like a band from the 70's. Big Grin

I had exactly the same thought when I saw that post earlier this morning. I'd very surprised if it isn't pretty much a second string side out tonight. Given some of the individual performances on Saturday though it's an excellent opportunity for some players to play themselves into contention for the Swansea game at the weekend.

I'm expecting pretty much an U23's line up from both sides.

Alex Neil says he's going to play a strong side. I don't think we'll go with all kids. I think it'll be something like this...

Griffiths

Ingram
Bartley
Taylor
Pieters

Mowatt
Gardner Hickman
Andrews

Fellows
Malcolm
Swift

Basically what I expect, though swap Swift and TGH (and they'll probably be swapping during the game as well).

We won’t be play Griffiths if we have accepted a bid.

Agreed pal. It will be the usual half and half team - subject to the keeper bid

It's kind of a local derby and players don't really need resting when it's only the second game of season. On the other hand, Carlos won't want to risk players who've got little in the way of cover. My guess would be something like this:

Griffiths/Palmer

Ingram  Bartley   Taylor   Pieters

Gardner-Hickman  Molumby

Fellows  Swift  Sarmiento

Malcolm

Molumby and Sarmiento need to build up their match fitness after injuries etc, so there's certainly a chance of them starting.

If Griffiths isn't available due to an impending transfer, I think it's unlikely that Carlos would go with either Button or Cann.

Another possibility is it'll be Stoke Reserves v Albiion Reserves just like the good old days of the Central League!

Sounds like Button is nearly a done deal too. Maybe Cann will get the nod.
