As much as I may have over reacted, many on here I fear are giving CC much too soft a ride on this. If it had have been Bruce/Val/Pulis/insert any other polarising manager here there would have been many more tearing chunks of them.

That starting line up was horrific. He then didn't make changes till the second half when it clearly wasn't working.

BTA was often isolated with nobody making sensible attacking run's because we had three cloggers in the midfield. Time and time again we were getting caught square of the ball and ended playing a negative transitional pass without the needed rotation to allow us to play through their press (which wasn't even that good or effective).

And many have said it. Hardly anybody was surprised... How can hundreds (probably thousands) of fans see something so blatent, but a sports science qualified professional with 20 years footballing experience can't or won't?

I think CC is the best we've had for some time, and as a fellow sports science grad I am delighted we have somebody who analyses (apparently) the game like he does. But if he makes those sorts of calls much more he will quickly lose good grace, because that level of incompetence is hard to swallow and explain.

As soon as Kipre gave the ball away and they score the second there should have been a double if not triple sub. Full stop, no excuse. He got it wrong and the players were incapable of making up for it on the pitch.

One match, Lurker, just one match. In which we were the better team apart from two moments of stupidity.

Corberan is the best coach we've had for some time, but you think we can maybe get someone better? You're going to need therapy before long at this rate, mate. Calm down.

As much as it boils your piss, it’s one game and he is managing with his hands tied behind his back. The manager is getting the blame for individual mistakes. If he’d have played Barts/Taylor yesterday they could easily have made stupid errors. If you have average players, expect average results

Good post. We move on, hopefully with lessons learned and a shopping list.

I have regular therapy anyway so I'll factor it in  Big Grin

I am calm today, fuming yesterday. But luckily, for me my rational brain agrees with my irrational brain.

I do not want CC sacked - that's for the record. I have stayed in here many times I think he's the best hope we've got of turning the club around in the short to medium term. But that with him picking logical sides and doing sensible things like he was between November and Feb last year where every decision he made I agreed with, or atleast understood the rationale behind.

Also, Chesh, we just weren't the better team, by pretty much any metric aside from having a couple of extra 'shots' and as usual a load more 'crosses'.

No good having one of them ... you load your trolley with the goods you need only to find you don't have the wherewithal to get past the till.

Aye. With our potential best 11 (eventually) we will be competitive. Without we will be what we were yesterday- organised but laboured

It's a shame that Carlos's sending off also meant that he wasn't allowed to speak to the media after the game. Hopefully we'll get his thoughts on the official website tomorrow (ideally it would be today but that's unlikely).

When I saw the teamsheet I was surprised about Chalobah, but had no problem with Kipre as he did well during his loan last season and I've never really had much problem with him when he's played for us. I think a Bartley/Pieters pairing would be far too slow and readily exposed by pace.

We can’t afford better
We won’t attract better
We need to be realistic as a fan base

In what seems to be a minority with you on Kipre. And in spite of yesterday, I certainly wouldn’t throw him under the bus yet either. I’d have him and Bartley as the default pairing when all are available
